NVIDIA open-sources NOOA, an agent framework scoring 82.2% on SWE-bench
NVIDIA released NOOA, a new open-source agent framework, posting an 82.2% score on SWE-bench — one of the strongest results yet for an openly available coding agent. The move continues NVIDIA's push beyond hardware into the software layer of the agent stack, giving developers a free, high-performing alternative to closed agent tooling.
Anthropic forms $1.5B joint venture to bring Claude into banks and hospitals
Anthropic announced Ode, a $1.5 billion joint venture staffed by roughly 100 engineers, aimed at deploying Claude in regulated industries — starting with banking and healthcare. The venture signals a deeper move from general-purpose chat assistants toward compliance-heavy, high-stakes enterprise deployments.
The AI price war keeps intensifying
Model pricing kept falling this week: OpenAI cut GPT-5.6 "Luna" input pricing by roughly 80% to $0.20 per million tokens, while Google, Meta, and xAI all pushed cheaper or more aggressively priced models (Gemini Flash updates, Meta's Muse Spark 1.1, and Grok 4.5). Alibaba's Qwen3.8-Max and DeepSeek's V4 Flash — a coding model priced roughly 99% below comparable Claude Opus output — add further pressure from Chinese labs. Falling costs are making agentic workflows (support, research, coding) affordable for small teams, not just large enterprises.
Enterprises are rethinking how much AI to actually use
Not all the week's news was about scaling up. Microsoft EVP Jay Parikh introduced internal "AI token budget targets" for engineering teams, explicitly pushing back on unchecked token usage ("tokenmaxxing is not what we are optimizing for"). It's an early signal that enterprises are moving from open-ended AI experimentation toward cost discipline and measured ROI.
AI security consolidation continues
Anaconda acquired AI-security startup Enkrypt AI, folding in pre-deployment red-teaming across 300+ attack categories, runtime guardrails, and NIST/EU AI Act compliance automation. As agentic and enterprise AI deployments grow, tooling vendors are racing to bundle security and compliance directly into their platforms.
